Video Marketing Maui

875252_cameraman_.jpgMaui was made for video marketing. Everyone wants to see Maui and adding video to your website marketing mix is just smart … and easy to do. Thanks to sites like Google Video, YouTube and dozens of other video site you can now easily add video to your website. Better yet, you can create a video about yourself or your product or service, upload it to one or more of the video sites for free and watch traffic pour into your website. But how does it work.

Let me start with a few Internet video statistics.

  • Over 52% of all the traffic on the web is video traffic.
  • 72% of all US users watch Internet video every month.
  • Americans spend an average of 27 minutes per day watching video on the Internet.

There is no way an Internet marketer can look at those numbers and not be impressed. And the numbers are getting bigger all the time.

How do you use video to drive traffic to your website?

The question I would ask is how do you use anything to drive traffic to your website? You do it by making your content unique. You make it special. You make it educational. You make it funny. Do you see where I’m going with this? The benefit of having your business on Maui is that you have a built in attraction factor. People want to see Maui.

Step One

Make a video about your product or service and be sure it meets the criteria listed above. You can shoot your video with a simple digital camera, edit it on your computer before uploading it to the Internet. When you create your video here are the three things you must remember to do.

  • Show your website address at the beginning and end of your video
  • Try to show your web address on the bottom third of your entire video
  • Mention audibly your web address on your video
  • Encourage people to visit your website at the end of the video
  • Give people a reason to visit your website at the end of your video
  • Keep your video under 3 minute long

Step Two

Use a service like Traffic Geyser to upload your video to multiple websites simultaneously. It will save you a huge amount of time, huge amounts of time. Traffic Geyser also lets you upload your video to the social bookmarking sites at the same time. Imagine trying to do this one site at a time? It would take you days.

It’s also important that you attach the most popular keywords and keyword phrases to your video along with your URL so that you get the very best results. And by best results I mean having your video show up high on the search engine results page.

Step Three

Repeat often. Learn from your experience and plan to add at least one new video every week. The key to video marketing is consistency. When Google sees a new video, it will quickly add it to its search results for the keywords you’ve assigned to it. Video marketing is one of the two fastest ways to get a top position for a search term, but it doesn’t have the staying power of a good article or blog post. This is why you want to add a new video frequently, especially if you sell a seasonal product or service.
